He is among us but he is not of us.
Though many will say that he is.
He prowls and hides in plain sight
using the homeless as a shield to his name.
yet those who are responsible
to bring him to justice never see him.
Instead they see only us and we pay and pay
serving the time that he owes
Hundreds maybe thousands serving the time he owes in our jails
which are filled with innocents and victims of his crimes.
Who are his customers? The poor?
Well a few... but mostly the rich.
Drugs cost money. A lot of money.
Something the homeless are short on.
The rich however... money to burn.
Some of which they burn up in patronizing his business.
